Rustic Gold, Strawberries and Herbs Cake

This beautiful rustic cake features a uniquely textured surface handpainted with gold swashes, decorated with sprigs of thyme and rosemary herbs, strawberry slices and sprigs of fresh florals. Finished with gold chocolate flakes. A lovely centrepiece for rustic celebrations.

While the thyme sprigs are edible and fresh florals are washed thoroughly before placing onto the cake, the baby's breath and rosemary used as decorations on this cake are inedible and must be removed before consumption.
Food safe dowels may be used to ensure structural stability of the cake.
This customised cake design is frosted with swiss meringue buttercream, which is best consumed at room temperature when soft and creamy.
If refrigerated, thaw for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour or until cream is soft to the touch to ensure that it cuts well. Do not consume straight from the fridge as it will be crumbly and hard to cut.
The cake can be displayed in an air con room (at least 18°C) for up to 4 hours. It is not recommended to display or store cakes without air con, especially under the hot sun, or in warm and humid areas.
